Burgundy chenille and a tulip….

I have nothing to show for the time since I’ve last written. I finished the chemo cap, but it’s absolutely awful. It looks like it would fit a conehead. Burgundy chenille and no pattern, not a good idea. I’m not even going to show it to you, it’s that horrible. So I have picked up some Bernat So Soft yarn, still in burgundy, and I’m giving that a shot on double-pointed needles with a well-established pattern. This time it will be knit, not crocheted. Thus it will also take me a smidge longer.

I did, however, try something else. I got the pattern for the baby Tulip cardigan. I have decided to make this instead of Blue Thing 1 for my friend’s baby. Much quicker. However, I’m not using the colors that are used in the pattern. I still don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl (which I feel it’s better not to know), so I am using different shades of beige, gold, green and trimming it with dark brown. I don’t know if a boy would like this or not, but let’s see how it turns out first! My track record isn’t going so well lately. I will take some photos and post early next week, as I’m only going to work on this during my lunch hour at work. The baby’s not due till Fall, so I’ve still got time.

In the meantime, back to the burgundy cap!! Have a great weekend!
