Two colors of beads The Illini lost to Virginia Tech on March 16th. The Illini were winning for the majority of the game, although there was a lot of back and forth too. In the end, VT just made a great march and took the lead away from the Illini. Ah well. Always next year!

The Jayhawks also lost to UCLA this past weekend. It was a real nail biter also! Still, they put up a good game, and they made it pretty far. Way to go for both the Jayhawks and the Illini to make it to postseason!

Pictured at right is my effort with more than 1 color of bead. You can see from the strand laying across the cuff on the left that you have to string the beads in order. These are for a rabid sports fan friend of mine (no, it’s not for me). I finished them over the weekend, but forgot to take a photo of the finished product, so hopefully she will take a photo of them on and send it to me. It was fun and challenging, and you can’t ask for more than that!

Now I’m working on something that I can’t post here because it’s for someone who may end up coming here and I don’t want them to know about it. I will find another project that I can work on here and go with that!

It’s a rainy cold (44 deg F) day here in Chicagoland. We were teased miserably over the weekend and Monday with temps in the upper 70s. Lovely!! Too bad it doesn’t stick. But here in the Midwest we know that weather changes as often as the day changes, so you can never count on having the perfect weather indefinitely! Still, it was a nice break from winter. The grass is greening up and plants are budding out. I am so happy Spring has arrived!!!

Plus baseball is about to start its regular season (Monday!). Stay tuned, Cubs fans!
