FunFur Blanket

Filed under: crocheting — by tricotchick @ 12:42 pm

FunFur blanketA few years ago I wanted to make a colorful, fun blanket for my young niece. I found some crazy green fleece in a fabric store, and then found some matching Fun Fur yarn (I think Lion Brand makes it). It was fun to make, but the hardest part was poking holes in the fleece. I got this awl-type tool. I got it at Michael’s, but it wasn’t for knitting or crocheting. I forget what it was for. I poked holes in the fleece around the edge at measured intervals, but then I had to put a double-pointed knitting needle through the poked hole to make it big enough for a crochet hook to go through. A bit of work, but once it was done, it was pretty cool. She loved it!
